My commitment to Real Estate started early, when at age 13 I was responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the printed MLS listings in a Montreal Real Estate office. Even while studying Civil Engineering at UBC, I managed to scrape up a down-payment on a small East Side condominium. Since then, I have never paid rent and my early ownership paid off as together with my husband John, we traded up through several homes.

The family’s latest 1000 sf renovation followed LEED principles. Demolition waste was recycled, new materials were sourced locally as much as possible, toilets are dual flush and the water heater is super efficient in-line. The final result is both stylish and practical and has the added benefit of extending the life of the house significantly.

I recently had the pleasure of having Kitty sell my house. She did a great job, especially in researching the market and in recommending a price that enabled me to sell when there was virtually no market activity. In fact, she had the opportunity to sell the house twice: Kitty continued to market the home even after we had an accepted offer. Her foresight paid off as the first deal collapsed through no fault on our side. Kitty acted immediately to ensure our property was top of mind for all the people who had shown an interest, resulting in a second satisfactory deal.

Kitty is very persistent, and worked hard to keep the second deal on track when an inspection showed some necessary but totally unexpected repairs were required. She coordinated the construction project that allowed the sale to complete to everyone’s satisfaction.
